Our achievements

SchoolPlus at Stony Brook participates in the following Math Olympiads:

MathCounts, a national math competition for middle school students. In 2007, our team won first place in Suffolk County and placed 20th (among 53 winners of regional contests) in New York State.
AMC, American Mathematics Competition for middle and high school students. For 3 years in a row we are on the list of U.S. School Merit Roll (top 2% - 5% in USA). One of our students is on the U.S. Distinguished Honor Roll List (top 1%) and several others are consistently on the USA Honor roll students list.
Math Kangaroo, an International Math Competition for elementary, middle and high school students. 8 of our students were among the top 1% in the USA and 27 students were in the top 30% in the nation.
